The Salvation

I can remember the day (evening) now as if it happen yesterday.

I was sitting home doing my usual stuff, watching T V.We had just finished supper and I was hurry her to get finish because I knew we were going to have some visitors, how I knew I did not know at the time.
The knock on the door and I told my wife Nancy they are here? She looked at me with a puzzle look on her face.

I open the door and there stood two Deacons from the church we had visited,because my Dad had pestered me until I went.
Until this day I did not want to hear anything about God, Jesus or anything else that had to do with Church.They came in and started some small talk. I was sitting there wanting them to come on out and say it.Meaning I was anxious to hear. Boy was I fooled. They were just being friendly (planting a seed)and they left.
I was setting there with the Holy Spirit just working me over and not wanting me to turn loose. They were gone!

Well the next week was the longest I had ever spent. I could not wait until Sunday to go to Church. I sat in Church and I was all ears. Nothing Happen!!
Monday I hurried home because I knew they were coming back and boy was I ready.
Sure enough a knock at the door and I open the door and there was the pastor and his wife.

We had a few words and the pastor new what I wanted.
He led me to the Lord in our front room of the house that night, my wife had been saved earlier and the pastors wife helped her dedicate her life back to the Lord.He then asked if I would follow up and be Baptized and I said yes. The pastor said he would baptize us both (Nancy had not been Baptized).

Here we go again with another long week.

Sunday finally arrived and we went into the water and when I came up I felt things just leave my body and soul and I wanted to shout (did not know if I could or not).

From that moment on I would never be the way I was before.
Colossians 2. 12-13 explains it all.

Verse 12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Verse 13 ¶ And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Verse 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Verse 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

GLORY BE TO GOD!!!

And all flesh shall see the salvation of God. Luke 3.6

And it shall come to pass,that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2.21
